A bit about us.
Ehren: I was born in Australia and trained as a chef in some of the top Michelin starred restaurants in the world in Australia, London, the Channel Islands and Austria. As a child, my family travelled a lot and so I have also lived in the Philippines, Hong Kong and India. In 2016 Nadine and I opened our first restaurant, Common Lot, in Millburn (www.commonlot.com) and we have been proud to call New Jersey home ever since.
Nadine: I grew up in the Austrian Alps and trained in European fine dining service and front of house management. I am a qualified Cheese Sommelier having completed an additional specialty focus on European cheeses and I have a passion for teas. I have studied in South Africa and have lived and worked in Austria, Switzerland, the Channel Islands (where Ehren and I met), London and Australia before settling here in New Jersey.
Together we own the highly awarded Common Lot in Millburn and we are really excited about opening our second restaurant, Byrd, here in Hoboken.
We have two young children who keep us on our toes, as well as our first “baby”, our rescue-dog Tink.
